A moment, a fleeting memory

I was walking under a starlit sky,
clad in night and many shadows about,
And you came brightly, striking the denizens celestial in half
a flaming streak of crystal flame
though,
but a moment's passed and then you were gone.
And try as I might, gaze flitting from errant cloud to errant cloud,
I could find no trace of you, however I might look,
Though I'll be damned if I quit now,
the caprice of the Fates led you to me,
And though by now you've led me quite long around, quite long enough,
I assure you this, fruitless my quest will not end,
to our Love, Fate itself must bend.
because you have ever been mine, and I yours...
from that moment you streaked into my life.

Today is a hectic day

Who can guess the travails that followed a good intention home?
it all happened one day, well, it was today,
one day removed from the day just past,
hopefully as a better man than the last,
And so lingered into an autumn bereft
of many laughing sighs faraway swept,
girdled by a bureaucracy deep in debt,
a ton heavier then last we left.

Who can laugh at what happened next?
Who can sing it sweet melodies,
With plentiful placating thoughts caressed?
Reason took a step back, and looked around,
The fragile end is bound to come,
but not tarry for it is not to be,
For at the day's passing, there's only me.

Kindle me deeply, thine eyes of crystal firelight
glowing with thine own sublime light,
trickle unto my parched lips the pure delight,
Of a good word said goodly by,
Of an outflung encouragement signified,
By a smile, your sweet smile, oh sweet delight,
all these thoughts kindled by your mere sight.

Sing to me softly, thine eyes so blue,
Tell me how much I love you.
Reflect in the twin streams still and pristine,
the tender, wholesome passion, shocking and yet clean
For you feel good, baby, right down to the core,
You were, always will be good medicine, My dear,
Forever I shall cherish you, never fear.
